Synopsis: “Odysseus” is an adaptation of the classic poem “The Odyssey” written by Homer.

The film begins when the warrior Odysseus and his men leaved Troy to return to their native land called Ithaca. He was giving orders to him men that were rowing the boat hoping to return to Ithaca as soon as possible.

But, the problems start when the gods get mad at Odysseus for defying them at Troy and embark him and his men to an intense and dangerous odyssey. Odysseus must survive the challenges of the odyssey such as escaping from the Cyclops Polyphimus, the magician Circe, the mermaid among other epic, creepy but amazing adventures.

Finally, he returns to his home in Ithaca alone since his men died in the ten year Odyssey. But things are not turning out well, the Ithaca habitants think Odysseus is dead and force Penelope to marry one of them.

Odysseus must try to get his wife back. Will he get her back?

What the press would say:

IAfter the making of “The Lord of the Rings”, the American movie industries couldn’t make anything better in the epic action/adventure genre (The Alamo, King Arthur, Troy, Alexander or Kingdom of Heaven). Seeing such bad results, the academy award nominated director of “Gladiator” Ridley Scott, decides to make, with the help of the team of “The Lord of the Rings”, a superior epic film. He decided to make “Odysseus”. People and critics around the world were murmuring that it was going to be another bad intent of epic that was going to cost a lot of money and was going to provide bad acting, bad directing and bad screenwriting.

But they were all wrong.

After its release, everyone saw a visually stunning film with a tremendous score, eye-popping designs and really realistic visual effects. But that wasn’t all. The film had a solid acting better than “The lord of the rings”, a stunning directing and an amazing screenplay.

“This is a supreme project stunningly visual to the eye and superior to “The Lord of the Rings” hailed the critics. “Move aside “Gladiator”. “Lord of the Rings”, you’re second” raved the audience. And the metacritic.com score was 98!

At the awards season, it did too good:

• National Board of Review: Best Ensemble
• New York Film Critics Circle: Best Picture, Best Directing, Best Score, Best Song
• Broadcast Film Critics Circle: Best Picture, Best Directing, Best Ensemble, Best Song, Best Composer
• Golden Globes: Best Motion Picture (Drama), Best Directing, Best Score, Best Song
• Screen Actors Guild: Best Ensemble

Best Original Song “The Sea Will Guide you”
Best Cinematography
Best Costume Design
Best Film Editing

Everyone hopes it will win them all
