Synopsis: "Katrina" focuses on the lives of individuals who evacuated to the Superdome during Hurricane Katrina. Maggie and Michelle Williams are newlyweds who just moved to the area. Diana King is a recently widowed woman who sees visions of her husband, Harry. John and Tina Winters are a separated couple who evacuate together for their son, Gabe. Endia Johnson is a woman who is raped and haunted by a mysterious man, Nate. Jake Sanders and Peter Smith are a gay couple whose civil union is supposed to take place in three days. Miguel Taylor and Morgan Peters are coke addicts who will do anything for a fix. On August 29, 2005, these people's worlds collide.

What the press would say:

Critics are hailing "Katrina" as the first great film about the storm. Director Steven Soderbergh ("Traffic") has assembled and all-star cast. The performances are amazing; it's hard to single out one cast member. The highlight of the film, however, is its screenplay written by Paul Thomas Anderson ("Magnolia"). If you go see any film this year, "Katrina" should be that film.
